This song, video and dance moves did not help his case at all. His sound is way too bubblegum pop, his aura seems a bit forced and his moves and mannerisms just screams white boy trying to look cool He doesnt have the sound, edge, image or appeal that Chris Brown and Usher has with the black community and hip hop audience. That is why they are highly embraced and he is strongly rejected. The Polynesian community is outraged by this injustice and in response Jason Derulo deletes posts and makes his youtube video unavailable to be played in countries such as New Zealand and Australia. All to hide from the fact that he heard a beat on tiktok and used its popularity to make his first hit song in a very long while. He fell off and was so desperate to get back on that he took a viral sound from tiktok and ran with it, not caring about the producer of the sounds permission and even without discussing royalties for a beat that the producer had copyrighted.
